Customer Feedback and Testimonials

Hello, Housework :) & I have soap suds! ...No Salt involved... We have allot of calcium (30 grains hardness) in our water and it's quite normal to use a salt based water softener. However I do not like carrying salt. Brad Morris from filterwaterdirect.com helped me out and recommended the "Hard Water Descaler Filter" that he sells. This unit does not remove the hardness but instead changes the calcium to harmless particles (Arogonite). Advantage is that Arogonite doesn't stick to the pipes, walls, etc. Sight unseen I bought this unit with dreams of not carrying salt. Installed the unit and flushed the hot water tank yesterday (so easy). Tonight I did dishes and the soap suds are my first evidence. It was $400 well spent. Apparently it will just get better as the calcium in the pipes and water heater etc breaks down as well and become clean. Ohh I also bought one for my RV travels

Ashley from Texas writes: "The short story: I was very skeptical about this product, but tried it, and it works! Makes cleaning so much easier!! The long story: So I live in the country, where there is a lot of calcium, and I do mean a LOT! The toilet and the shower need cleaned every couple days or it looks like months of calcium buildup! So gross! The dishes all have water marks them, even after towel drying. In my internet search for a water softener that would help with the high calcium content, I stumbled upon this Hard Water Bullet. The video was incredible and made so much sense, but I still had a hard time believing it would actually work. So I called Brad and spoke with him, and decided to give it a shot. Boy was my mind blown!! The calcium was broken up into pieces that were NOT STICKY anymore! They would just rinse right off and not leave any residue. And I'm definitely ok with the non-sticky calcium still being in the water, cause I save a TON not having to constantly purchase filters! So glad I stumbled upon this. Excellent product and fabulous customer service! Thanks Brad! :D"

We recently replaced our water softener after it stopped working. We replaced it with a Hard Water Descaler Filter. It literally took longer to have the old one removed than it did to install the new one. This new system is mounted on the wall and virtually maintenance free, no huge unsightly containers, no salt to add, etc. We are very pleased with it's performance. We discovered after about a week, that I didn't have to use as much laundry detergent, and my colored clothes came out brighter and whites, whiter. I also found that my dishwasher left my glassware and silverware spot free, no need to use any rinse agent. Needless to say my sinks and faucets are also free of hard water spotting. What a wonderful product! I would highly recommend it to anyone who is needing a water softener system that is hassle free and does the job of softening your water without having to lug around those huge bags of water softer salt. Hi Brad, I would like to inform you of our experience with your products. Let me start out with the problems we were experiencing from our two wells. The one, the church (Diamond Hill Cathedral) and it's parsonage had a high level of calcium at 270. We desired to lower that level to protect new equipment we installed, including a steamer/shower and a whirlpool tube. After installing the Hard Water Descaler Filter the calcium the level dropped to 50. Thanks Brad, M. Schroeder

I had the bullet installed last Wednesday. SO far SO GOOD. I have some calcium yet but it is 95% less. I assume it will get better since my water turned awful this winter and I blame it on the hard winter we had and all the snow. I have heard lots of complaints about the same from friends. Should my water return to what it was (but still hard) a few years ago, I may not have any hardness at all. Needless to say, I am so darn happy. D. Anderson

Researched many different products trying to avoid a water softener system. I discovered the technology was sound and made the purchase. Installation was straight forward (I have a pex system with a manifold) shut off main inside house, close down the feeds to fixtures, installed fittings on unit and added second shut off for isolation. Brought everything online and had some issues with leaks for my fittings, a little additional tightening took care of most of it but did have a leak at their "t" fitting. I contacted my service representative mr. Morris and he responded quickly, turned unit 360 degrees per his instructions and waited 24 hours. This corrected most of the leak but after several days it wouldn't stop. I contacted him again and he is sending a slightly different unit, bullet 2.0 if you will. My dishes have lost the white film, my dishwasher no longer looks like someone spilled soap all over and my skin has lost that dry itchy feeling. Clothes are softer and I don't expect calcium build up on my sinks any longer. If you have hard water I would recommend you try this before adding salt into your water.

I no longer have a black residue build-up with the Poly Scale Hard water Conditioner water softener. I’ve tried the Scalewatcher, and it is not as good as this system. Water is every bit as soft as water treated from a salt based system, without the slimy feel.

There is no salt or regeneration :) Love this water conditioner!

I’ve tried a number of these products, Scalewatcher, Krystal ect. and a salt based softener, and I reckon the poly hard water conditioner is the best of all. Water is actually a better quality than any of the previously mentioned systems. It will descale your water system and inhibit the growth of black mould. No slippery feel either, a problem with salt based systems.

I no longer have hard water lime scale building up in my dishwasher of shower head. Its really an amazing product and eco-friendly, and its ideal for my septic system because it does not need to regenerate. Thank you Filter Water Direct!

Well Brad, I had the Poly Hard Water Conditioner system installed two weeks ago, and it seems to be doing its thing. No more white precipitated calcium in the coffee pot. Bill

I love it! Fantastic!! As soon as we installed it, a ton of sludge was released from my faucets. The water ran black for several minutes, sand, sediment and (I assume)calcium came out. Though you did not even claim this would happen. It was astounding! (I drank that?) Now I can easily tell my water is much better (no build up in the electric pot, less spots, etc) yet the minerals are still there - and I think I can kind of see that. So nothing was added or removed, no need for salts , no moving parts, and I retain my mineral rich water without ruining my pipes and appliances. Yeah, I love it. Thanks, Adrienne

B. Eubanks of Ohio writes: "Hi I just want to let you know that the water system I had installed in Aug Is working like a charm. No more calcium build-up my faucets and shower head...amazing!!!! Would recommend it to anyone having a problem with calcium in their water. Thanks!!"

I installed your Poly Hard Water Conditioner last July and am writing to tell you of the results of using this filter.  We live in southwest Texas and have well water with a very high calcium content.  The calcium has ruined my on-demand hot water heater and my Ultra-violet bacteria filter (UV), as well as clogging shower heads and faucet aerators.

Before using the  Poly Hard Water Conditioner, I would check my UV filter every three months and the glass sleeve over the UV bulb would be coated with a hard white calcium crust, which had to be scraped off and soaked in a calcium removing solution.  After installing the Poly Water Conditioner, I have continued to check the UV filter every three months, for nine months, and the glass sleeve is completely clear, without a trace of the white calcium deposit.  Adding the Poly Conditioner was the only change to the water system, so the poly conditioner is the only reason the calcium is not coming out of solution and sticking to various components in the water system.

I understand that I was your first customer for thePoly Hard Water Conditioner, and I thank you for your analysis of my water, and your advice and counsel.  And, thank you for providing this product.

Regards,

Ed M

It has been about 6 Months since purchasing my Poly Hard Water Bullet and I could not be happier. Prior to the installation shower heads and faucets would cake up with scale, I would have to buy a new coffee maker every 3 Months. It is just amazing. It took 5 Months for my pipes to clean out the scale. Now there is a very light colored spot where the water spots dry , but wipes up very easily. I used to have to clean my bath tub after every use and not any more it just stays nice an clean.  I would definitely give this product 5 out of 5 stars.

Picked up my Poly Hard Water Bullet Conditioner from Filter Water Direct and installed it. Before I turned the water on I changed the water heater anode, cleaned all faucets, screens, coffee pot, shower head and other waterlines. I turned the water on and now for two months I have zero scale on my glass shower sliding door and zero scale on my Keurig coffee pot. The product is awesome! Thank you Brad for a wonderful product as I am a full-time RV'er and I enjoy the savings on cleaning supplies.

We had a bad problem with white scale stuff on the walls around the shower and in the dishwasher within a couple days of putting it in my wife said the dishwasher was clean and the dishes had a lot less spots on them and the white stuff around the shower was gone also and has not returned in the couple months we've had it.
I really didn't think it would do that much but I am completely satisfied and have recommend it

We are nothing less then astonished at the results we are witnessing since the installation of your conditioner. Morris Lowy, NAP Industries Inc

For the first couple of years of living full-time in our RV we dealt with the issue of hard water clogging up our kitchen sink aerator and shower head, no telling what it was doing to the plumbing. We never were happy with any of the salt based softeners so we did nothing, until we came upon the Portable RV Water Softener from Filter Water Direct. Inside is a catalytic insert. This technology breaks down the calcium in the water using a catalytic action and converts it to a harmless form of calcium referred to as arogonite that passes through the plumbing system without clinging to pipes or fixtures. We approached this with a little skepticism because it sounded too good to be true. It was about the same price as a salt based system so we decided to give it a whirl, its only money right! We have to put in a disclaimer that this is all anecdotal evidence and we did no scientific analysis of the water. We put in a new aerator and cleaned the showerhead right after we installed the Portable RV Water Softener and waited. Usually we had to remove the aerator about once a month and tap out the hard water deposits collected and had to soak the aerator in vinegar a couple of times during our 5 months in Goodyear AZ. After we left Goodyear we realized we had not done either removing the hard water deposits or cleaning the aerator in vinegar. For the showerhead we usually had to clean it at least once in vinegar and 5 months later we did not have to do that either. There is one drawback and that is that the catalytic insert periodically needs to be taken out and cleaned with a bristle brush. Not knowing what periodically means we decided to check on the catalytic insert after 6 months of usage. While there was some buildup on the insert it was not as bad as we thought since the Goodyear water is incredibly hard. Taking it out and cleaning it led to our realization just how good this thing was working. Bob took it off and we took showers once or twice while he was cleaning it and putting it back together. After Bob put it back on and Jo took a shower she immediately commented as to how the water was softer and her skin was a lot less itchy. All showers were in the same location so presumably the water did not change. So we are sold on the Portable RV Water Softener. See Bob and Jo's RV Blog HERE

Hi Brad, The first day it was installed I used my rice/vegetable steamer and my jaw dropped when I saw that the heating well in the steamer had no coating of calcium at all. I was amazed. My skin felt better after my shower the next day too. I have not washed my hair so can't comment on that yet but expect there to be an improvement in how my hair feels after washing. Hi brad. We ordered our Hard Water Bullet RV water conditioner this spring (2013) and after a summer of living in our RV and our hard Alberta well water we thought you would like to know how pleased we are with this device. No hard to remove white buildup and hard water residue on kitchen and bathroom fixtures and no spots on dishes and glassware. Also my laundry seems to be cleaner. My husband was skeptical at first but has since become an advocate and insists on using it to wash vehicles as no spots on windows and mirrors. He brought it with us to our winter home in BC where we also have hard well water and hooks it up to wash our vehicles. We are planning on sending you a water report because I think we need this devicein our winter home as well. I do wish you had a Canadian distributor to make your products more easily available to us as our RV conditioner took a good 6 weeks to get here because of customs issues. We are very pleased we found your website and ordered this device and highly recommend it to any RV owner. Thanks. Shelley and Gerry, Athabasca Alberta Canada

The Bible Walk museum had a high level of iron and sulfur, to the extent it smelled like rotten eggs and you couldn't drink it; and of course the rust stains. Brad suggested we purchase the whole house iron water filter. After installing this, I drank some water from the drinking fountain the next day. It tasted fine to me so I had people that worked in the museum regularly confirm what I thought. They all confirmed what I was saying, the taste was in the pudding. They were all apprehensive to drink it at first, and smelled it before partaking. Well years of water issues are over. Thanks Brad, M. Schroeder

I’m a builder and have purchased several iron filters from Filter Water Direct.

Brad was very helpful and guided me through my first installation.

I installed the first unit in my personal house.  We had high levels of iron in the water and our PH was out of whack.

After installation, the iron taste and smell has been completely gone and with the automatic backwash feature, I haven’t done anything with it since installation approximately 2 years ago.  It’s been working great.  That’s why I have just purchased 4 more units for installation into 3 houses I’m presently building and the fourth is going into my lake house which I built 2 years ago.

Why Buy a Sterling Water Conditioner?

No Salt is Needed:
Salt for an average household, costs $200 per year. Salt based water softeners are expensive, time consuming, and overall, VERY inconvenient.

Protects Your Investments:
The Sterling Water Conditioner not only stops scale from forming but usually removes existing scale... Read More
